In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently operating stand-up forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse. Your expertise will ensure smooth warehouse distribution, accurate inventory management, and safe handling of products. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a well-organized logistics operation while maintaining high safety standards and supporting overall warehouse efficiency. Duties Operate stand-up forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, and Hi-Lo equipment to move materials safely across the warehouse. Load and unload shipments using forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring proper stacking and storage. Conduct routine inspections of equipment, perform basic repairs or notify maintenance for repairs needed to keep machinery in optimal condition. Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and barcode scanning technology for accurate inventory tracking and order picking. Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying shipments against documentation and ensuring proper documentation is completed. Follow forklift safety protocols and OSHA standards to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues. Support warehouse operations by managing inventory levels, organizing stock locations, and conducting manual handling tasks when necessary. Experience Proven experience operating stand-up forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, or similar material handling equipment in a warehouse setting. Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning for logistics, shipping & receiving procedures, and inventory management practices. Knowledge of forklift safety standards in production environments and adherence to OSHA regulations. Experience with heavy lifting, manual handling, heavy equipment operation, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations. Prior warehouse supervision experience or familiarity with warehouse distribution processes is a plus but not required. Ability to perform routine equipment repairs or coordinate maintenance as needed while maintaining safety standards in warehouse operations.
