In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of material handling equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, and clamp trucks, to efficiently load, unload, and organize inventory. Responsibilities Operate forklift trucks, reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks to load and unload materials safely and efficiently. Conduct routine inspections and basic repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation. Follow OSHA standards and warehouse safety protocols during all handling and operational activities. Requirements Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts (including lift trucks), reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, and material handling tools. Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning for logistics, and inventory control procedures. Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures, heavy lifting techniques, and OSHA safety standards. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while managing heavy materials. Basic math skills for order picking, inventory counts, and measurement tasks. Prior experience in warehouse operations or distribution centers is highly desirable. Strong understanding of safety standards in production environments related to heavy equipment operation. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in order fulfillment and inventory management. Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.
