Full Job Description Job description Cold-Link Logistics Auburndale is looking for an experienced Cold Storage Material Handler/Warehouse Selector with a positive attitude and ready join our growing company. This position will load and unload outgoing and incoming delivery vehicles. You will select products from the warehouse, load and select product and orders, move and count inventory, and load product in a safe manner. You will transport to and store in designated warehouse positions. You will always keep your work environment clean and tidy, and comply with all relevant safety rules, regulations, policies, and procedures at Cold-Link Logistics Auburndale. Preferred applicants are hard-working, laser-focused and have outstanding problem-solving skills. Punctuality and attendance are extremely important and will be measured alongside performance.
Responsibilities:
Ensuring cleanliness, tidiness and a safe of work environment with documented safe practices. Loading and unloading, inbounds and outbounds. Counting and confirming product. Inspecting inventory for overages, shorts, and damages. Effectively communicating errors to relevant parties. Counting product on weekdays and possible weekends (familiarity with audits a plus). Understanding warehouse layouts. Loading and wrapping product of all kinds (frozen, dry, drums). Building loads with forklift and electronic pallet jack (Crown and Raymond specifically). Constantly improving communication within the operation (office and warehouse).
Requirements:
18 years of age or older. General labor experience – preferably (2-5) years in cold warehouse. Ability to operate forklift proficiently (Crown and Raymond specifically). Drum experience, Reach Truck, and Turret Truck experience required Completion of background investigation and drug screening. Able to communicate with supervisor and management. Teachable, trainable, and open-minded. Good moral character, honest and strong work ethic. Physically able to lift 50 lbs. cases on a continuous basis if necessary, agile, dexterous, and undeterred by heights and adverse climatic conditions (-5 degrees F through 35 degrees F). Positive work history and ability to maintain solid attendance - references recommended. Available to work extended hours on weekdays and possible weekends. Able to work independently AND collectively as a team leader. Eager to become part of the positive culture at CLLA. Experience with WMS (Korber is a plus). Detail-orientated with close attention to requirements and requests made by CLLA and our customers. Desire to succeed in the 3PL industry and represent a growing company in all positive ways.
Work Schedule:
We are looking for day shift which is Monday-Friday 7:00am-4:00pm, some weekends and some overtime may be required.
Compensation:
$18.00 an hour
