12 PM - 9PM Sunday - Thursday Job Description This role focuses on safely operating forklifts and related material handling equipment to pick, assemble, receive, and stock customer orders in a warehouse environment. The forklift operator ensures accurate order fulfillment, maintains inventory organization using a First-In, First-Out (FIFO) system, supports deliveries as a backup driver, and contributes to a clean, efficient, and customer-focused operation. Responsibilities Pick and assemble customer orders accurately as indicated on pick lists. Coordinate and assemble urgent deliveries to ensure timely order fulfillment for customers. Receive product deliveries and unload delivery trucks in a timely and efficient manner. Inspect received products for damage and verify volume accuracy, documenting any discrepancies as required. Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by providing courteous and reliable service. Conduct daily stock checks and promptly report out-of-stock items and low inventory levels to management. Participate in warehouse upkeep by ensuring the stockroom and warehouse areas remain clean, safe, and organized. Serve as a backup delivery driver by completing deliveries when needed. Document, record, and complete driver logs accurately when making deliveries. Stock inventory accurately in assigned warehouse locations and rotate product using a First-In, First-Out (FIFO) food storage system. Use RF scanners and related technology to pick, pack, ship, receive, and track inventory. Operate forklifts, reach trucks, sit-down and stand-up forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and manual pallet jacks to move, load, and unload materials. Perform heavy lifting and material handling tasks safely and in accordance with warehouse procedures. Participate actively in warehouse meetings and contribute to continuous improvement of processes. Essential Skills Proficiency in operating forklifts, including sit-down and stand-up forklifts. Experience using reach trucks and electric pallet jacks for material handling. Demonstrated ability in shipping and receiving processes, including loading and unloading trucks. Skill in order picking, packing, and shipping using RF scan guns or RF scanners. Ability to accurately pick, pack, ship, receive, and stock inventory in designated warehouse locations. Capability to perform heavy lifting and material handling safely and efficiently. Ability to work on foot for extended periods, including standing and walking without prolonged sitting. Ability to reach, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently. Ability to handle and move up to 165 pounds with assistance on a frequent basis. Ability to drive for a majority of daily working hours when serving as a backup delivery driver. Attention to detail for inspecting products, documenting damages, and verifying volume accuracy. Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience using RF scan guns or RF scanners for inventory management. Familiarity with First-In, First-Out (FIFO) food storage systems. Proficient in inventory control, including daily stock checks and reporting. Experience with order picking in both dry storage and freezer environments. Comfort working in a fast-paced warehouse setting with frequent physical activity. Strong communication skills to participate effectively in warehouse meetings and coordinate urgent deliveries. Work Environment The role is based in a warehouse environment where approximately 85% of the work takes place in dry storage and the remaining portion involves working in freezer areas. The position requires being on your feet for extended periods, including frequent standing, walking, reaching, bending, and kneeling. The work involves regular use of forklifts, reach trucks, sit-down and stand-up forklifts, electric pallet jacks, manual pallet jacks, and RF scanners. Employees handle and move materials up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 165 pounds with assistance. Driving is required for a significant portion of the day when acting as a backup delivery driver. The environment emphasizes cleanliness, organization, and adherence to safety practices while working with both ambient and cold storage conditions. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Medley, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
