Ocala, FL (34472) Job Description This role involves loading and unloading rail cars, accurately documenting product shipments, and assisting with basic product testing in a fast-paced tank farm environment. You will work primarily outdoors, use a variety of tools, and perform physically demanding tasks while supporting safe and efficient operations in the rail yard. Responsibilities Load and unload rail cars safely and efficiently, following established procedures and safety guidelines. Work outdoors in a rail yard environment in varying weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety and productivity. Accurately document all incoming and outgoing product shipments to ensure proper tracking and inventory control. Assist with product testing procedures, including learning how to test oil and other materials as needed. Utilize hand tools and power tools to complete basic tasks, minor maintenance, and operational support activities. Perform general labor tasks as required to support overall tank farm and rail yard operations. Maintain a clean and organized work area, recognizing that the environment can be greasy or dirty at times. Collaborate with team members and follow instructions from supervisors to meet daily production and shipping schedules. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of tools and equipment. Essential Skills Experience in general labor or general production environments. Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, carrying, and working on your feet for extended periods. Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions in a rail yard or similar setting. Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Attention to detail for accurate documentation of shipments and basic testing procedures. Reliability and punctuality to support scheduled rail car loading and unloading activities. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience operating a forklift or working in a forklift-supported environment. Background in general production, warehouse, or industrial settings. Willingness to learn basic product testing procedures, including oil testing. Interest in developing skills that can support advancement into other roles within the organization. Work Environment You will work primarily in an outdoor rail yard and tank farm environment, which can be greasy and dirty due to the nature of the operations. The role is based on a first shift schedule, typically 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with flexibility to start an hour earlier or later depending on truck schedules, Monday through Friday. You will use hand tools, power tools, and potentially forklifts or other industrial equipment as part of your daily tasks. The work is physically demanding and requires comfort working in varying weather conditions while maintaining safety and productivity. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ocala, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
