Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and energetic Forklift Operator/Warehouse Worker to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of material handling equipment, managing inventory, and supporting warehouse distribution activities. Your proactive approach will ensure smooth warehouse operations, accurate order fulfillment, and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities Safely lifting, moving, and stacking heavy batteries within the warehouse. Pulling orders, wrapping pallets, and loading/unloading delivery trucks. Safely handling and preparing used, "core" batteries for recycling which requires extreme heavy lifting (55+ lbs.). General janitorial duties, including sweeping, mopping, and keeping the warehouse organized and OSHA-compliant.. Safely operate forklifts, clamp trucks and pallet jacks to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance Manage inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS) and barcode scanning technology for accurate tracking and order picking Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying shipments, preparing orders, and ensuring proper documentation Handle materials manually when necessary, following manual handling procedures to prevent injury Support warehouse distribution operations by loading and unloading trucks efficiently while adhering to OSHA safety standards Maintain a clean, organized workspace by following warehouse safety protocols and participating in safety training sessionsRequirements Proven experience operating forklift equipment is required. Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and barcode scanning for logistics accuracy Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures and inventory management practices Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely while following OSHA guidelines Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments Strong understanding of warehouse safety standards in production environments Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment Prior experience in warehouse operations or distribution centers is preferred but not required; training will be provided for qualified candidates Join our team today to become an essential part of a vibrant logistics operation where your skills make a real impact!
