Job Description

Summary:
Responsible individual with great experience in driving industrial vehicles. The primary lift truck is a 36,000 capacity lift. The goal will be to ensure that material and products will always be safely at the right place to achieve maximum efficiency.Main Duties/Responsibilities:
- Unloading materials from incoming vehicles, stacking them to assigned places and completing receiving documents.
- Locating and moving stock of products to pallets or crates for storage and/or shipment.
- Identifying damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
- Transport raw materials to production workstations
- Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance
- Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs
- Comply with company policies and legal guidelines
- Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities
- Loading out trailers with large steel and aluminum pieces
- Reading fabrication drawings
- Measure and laying out loads for efficient transportation
- Keeping raw materials and finished goods organized and the yard free from trash
- Pitching in and helping in shop environment during slack shipping and receiving times.
- Banding and Create building skills are a plus
Qualifications:
- Must have a forklift certification
- Able to lift 50 pounds or more frequently
- Knowledge of safety standards and ability to use protective clothing including safety glasses, gloves, steel toed boots, etc.
- Must be dependable and able to work overtime as needed
- Ability to work in a fabrication shop setting with exposure to the elements
- Ability to understand oral and written instructions of a technical nature Proven experience as forklift operator Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment Excellent physical condition and coordination Must have Valid Driver's License Must Pass a Pre-Employment Background check Must Pass a pre-employment drug screening (Drug Free Workplace) Must pass
