Forklift Operator BAERS Furniture Co Inc - 3.2 Pompano Beach, FL Job Details Full-time 12 hours ago Qualifications Warehouse management system Forklift Inventory management software High school diploma or GED Warehouse experience Pallet jack Material handling equipment operation Full Job Description Baer?s Furniture, Florida?s premier furniture and mattress retailer, is searching for Inventory Forklift Operator for our Distribution Center in Pompano. Forklift Operator will assist the Inventory Control team in conducting cycle counts to maintain an accurate perpetual inventory. They will assist in researching the root causes of inventory variances and maintain the accuracy of inventory records. The Forklift Operator will perform physical inventories in high-pile storage racks using lifts at heights up to 40 feet. The qualified candidate will have 2+ years of general warehouse experience, 1 year of inventory/cycle experience, and operate in a manner that promotes safety and in compliance with OSHA standards.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8 hour shift, Day shift, Overtime, Weekend availability Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Perform research on inventory issues and coordinate with Inventory management to resolve issues in a timely manner; Ensure rewrap product is labeled correctly and staged for put-away; Work independently with minimum supervision under fast paced environment; Conduct dock checking, picking, staging as required to manage the workload of the Delivery and Customer Pickup; Able to operate radio frequency equipment; Operate in a manner that promotes safety and in compliance with OSHA standards; Maintains a clean, free from debris warehouse floor; Meet company standards for productivity; Required qualifications: High School Diploma or GED equivalent; 2-4 years general warehouse experience in a fast paced, warehouse environment. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered; Must be able to operate a lift truck to reach heights of up to 40 feet; Must be able to lift 50 pounds overhead; Must be able to push and pull a pallet jack with weight ranges of up to 1500 pounds; Must have at least one year of experience operating forklifts, cherry pickers, or reach trucks; Computer Savvy, knowledge of PC and WMS (Warehouse Management Software) required; Ability to work overtime as needed.
