This position will challenge you to meet customer specifications, produce high-quality fabricated assemblies, safely operate a forklift, and meet production schedules while maintaining positive working relationships. A significant part of this position involves the safe and efficient operation of a forklift to move, load, unload, stage, and organize raw materials, components, pallets, and finished products throughout the manufacturing facility and shipping/receiving areas. Manufacturing employees are required to read procedure sheets, job tickets, work instructions, technical documents, and drawings to determine work procedures, material requirements, and other related information. We are looking for a qualified manufacturing individuals who can cut, fabricate, and assemble floating docks and other structures according to specifications while also safely operating a forklift as a regular part of the job. The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail, good carpentry and fabrication skills, and the ability to work independently while following all health and safety standards. Skills We Are Looking For Previous manufacturing experience is preferred, but not required. Previous forklift operating experience is required Ability to safely and efficiently operate a forklift as a regular part of the job. Ability to safely move, load, unload, and stage materials and finished products using a forklift. Ability to perform required forklift inspections and identify/report unsafe conditions or equipment issues. Ability to measure and calculate the size and quantity of materials needed. Experience using hand and power tools such as drills, sanders, routers, saws, grinders, and other fabrication tools. Ability to operate tools to trim, drill, ream, countersink, grind, and finish products to specifications. Ability to cut, shape, and smooth plastic and other materials according to measurements and specifications. Ability to read and understand technical documents, drawings, procedure sheets, and job tickets. Hands-on experience working with carpentry, construction, or manufacturing materials. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety. Job Duties & Requirements Operate a forklift regularly throughout the workday to safely move, load, unload, and stage materials, components, pallets, and finished products. Load and unload delivery and shipping trucks using a forklift. Move materials between storage areas, production areas, and shipping/receiving areas. Maintain organized material storage and ensure materials are placed in designated areas. Follow all forklift safety procedures and company safety policies at all times. Fabricate and assemble floating docks and other structures according to specifications. Measure, cut, drill, trim, and finish materials as required. Use hand and power tools safely and properly. Read and follow job tickets, work instructions, drawings, and production procedures. Assist with Shipping and Receiving. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Keep the manufacturing plant and work areas free of debris and safety hazards. Perform workspace housekeeping throughout the workday. Meet production schedules and quality requirements. Work effectively as part of a team while also being able to work independently. Perform other production-related duties as assigned. Schedule & Additional Requirements Position is Day Shift, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Timeliness, attendance, professionalism, safety, and adherence to company policies are strictly enforced.
