Duties Safely operate a variety of forklifts such as reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and Hi-Lo forklifts to load, unload, and transport lumber and rebar materials. Manage inventory accurately using warehouse management systems (WMS) and barcode scanning tools to track materials efficiently. Perform order picking and shipping & receiving tasks with precision to meet production schedules. Conduct routine equipment repairs and maintenance checks to ensure forklift safety protocols are consistently followed. Handle heavy lifting and manual material handling tasks while adhering to OSHA safety standards in production environments. Assist with warehouse distribution activities including stacking, storing, and organizing materials for optimal space utilization. Support warehouse management by maintaining safety standards, participating in safety training, and ensuring compliance with all warehouse operations procedures. Qualifications Proven forklift operator experience specifically with lumber and rebar materials. Valid forklift certification with hands-on experience operating reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and other material handling equipment. Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning for logistics, shipping & receiving procedures. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to forklift operation and heavy equipment handling. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently; manual handling skills required. Basic math skills for inventory counts and order accuracy. Warehouse or distribution center experience is highly preferred; familiarity with warehouse safety protocols is essential.
