Job Description

Job Overview Join our busy, family-owned and operated marina as a Forklift Operator and become an important part of our marina operations team! We are looking for a dependable, safety-focused individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in providing excellent service to our customers. In this role, you will be responsible for operating Wiggins W190022 large-capacity marina forklifts to safely launch, retrieve, transport, and store vessels throughout the marina. Responsibilities Safely operate Wiggins W190022 large-capacity marina forklifts for launching, retrieving, transporting, and storing vessels. Carefully load and unload boats from marina storage racks while protecting vessels, equipment, and marina property. Perform daily pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance or safety concerns. Follow all marina procedures and applicable OSHA safety standards when operating heavy equipment. Communicate effectively with dockhands, marina staff, and other forklift operators during vessel movements. Maintain awareness of vessel dimensions, weight, clearance, rack placement, and surrounding conditions before moving boats. Assist with staging boats for customer arrivals, launches, haul-outs, and storage. Maintain a clean and safe forklift operating area. Immediately report any vessel damage, equipment issues, or unsafe conditions to management. Assist the marina operations team with additional duties as needed. Requirements Previous experience operating large-capacity forklifts or similar heavy equipment required. Experience operating Wiggins marina forklifts, including the W190022 or comparable equipment, strongly preferred. Previous marina, boatyard, dry-stack, or marine industry experience preferred. Strong understanding of heavy-equipment and forklift safety procedures. Ability to safely maneuver large boats in tight storage and staging areas. Excellent attention to detail and situational awareness. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Dependable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working outdoors in a busy environment. Ability to perform the physical duties associated with marina operations. We are a busy, family-owned and operated marina that values teamwork, reliability, safety, and great customer service. Pay:
From $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
