Forklift Operator- Hiring in Mechanicsburg! Job Description This role operates a Crown Reach Truck in a clean, fast-paced distribution warehouse to safely move, stock, and pick products such as cleaning supplies, industrial packaging materials, shrink wrap products, and other warehouse goods. The Forklift Operator supports accurate order fulfillment, inventory control, and overall warehouse efficiency while following strict safety procedures. Responsibilities Operate a Crown Reach Truck to transport materials safely and efficiently throughout the warehouse. Pick and pull customer orders accurately using RF scanners and pick sheets. Retrieve products from racking systems and replenish inventory as needed. Load, unload, move, stack, and stage products in designated areas. Handle products including cleaning chemicals, industrial packaging materials, shrink wrap products, and related warehouse inventory with care and attention to safety. Perform inventory transactions and maintain accurate product counts in the system. Inspect forklifts and warehouse equipment before each shift and promptly report any safety concerns or mechanical issues. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and best practices while operating equipment and performing warehouse tasks. Assist with general warehouse duties such as order picking, loading, unloading, and other material handling tasks as needed. Essential Skills Previous experience operating a Reach Truck, preferably Crown equipment. Experience working in a distribution, logistics, or warehouse environment. Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production and distribution setting. Comfort working at heights while operating reach equipment and accessing racking systems. Experience using RF scanners for order picking and inventory activities. Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate order picking and inventory counts. Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and safe equipment operation. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when necessary. Proficiency in general material handling, including loading, unloading, and staging products. Ability to use inventory management systems or related warehouse technology. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience operating multiple types of forklifts and material handling equipment. Experience in production or high-volume order picking environments. Comfort working with cleaning chemicals and industrial packaging materials while following safety guidelines. Ability to work collaboratively with warehouse team members to meet production and shipping deadlines. Strong communication skills to coordinate tasks and report issues promptly. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mechanicsburg, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.25 - $20.25/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
