  • 2:30 AM âś… Temp-to-Hire | Start ASAP We are hiring Sit-Down Forklift Operators for a busy warehouse in Delray Beach.
Candidates will operate a forklift for most of the shift, move materials, and support shipping and receiving operations. Job Description This role involves operating a sit-down forklift throughout the shift to support warehouse operations in a high-volume facility. You will handle material movement, unloading, and general warehouse tasks while working safely and efficiently in varying temperature conditions. The position offers structured training during the first one to two weeks and the opportunity to transition from a temporary to a long-term role based on performance and reliability. Responsibilities Operate a sit-down TOYOTA Electric Sit Down 3000 lbs. capacity forklift safely and efficiently for the majority of the shift. Load, unload, and move materials, pallets, and products throughout the warehouse. Support material handling activities, including staging, organizing, and relocating inventory as needed. Follow all safety procedures and warehouse guidelines while operating equipment and performing daily tasks. Work effectively in different areas of the building, adapting to cold, damp, or hot conditions as required. Participate in initial training during the first one to two weeks to learn site-specific processes and standards. Maintain a clean and organized work area to support efficient warehouse operations. Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors to coordinate workflow and address issues promptly. Demonstrate consistent attendance, punctuality, and reliability in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Essential Skills Proven experience operating a sit-down electric forklift in a warehouse or similar environment. Strong overall warehouse experience and tenure, with a history of long-term roles in warehouse operations. Ability to perform material handling tasks, including loading, unloading, and moving products safely. Comfort working full shifts on a sit-down forklift. Willingness and ability to work either first shift (7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) or second shift (4:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.), as assigned. Commitment to following safety procedures and operational guidelines. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in a high-volume warehouse environment. Demonstrated reliability and strong work ethic in prior roles. Flexibility to adapt to changing tasks, priorities, and work areas within the facility. You will work around standard warehouse equipment and materials, focusing on safe forklift operation and material handling throughout the day. The setting is fast-paced and production-oriented, with clear safety expectations and structured training during your first one to two weeks. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Delray Beach, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.00
