Pay Rate:
$13.00 - $15.00
Hourly Shift Schedule:
Rotating 12-Hour Schedule (3 Days On / 4 Days Off)
Day Shift:
6:30 AM - 6:30
PM Night Shift:
6:30 PM - 6:30
AM Job Overview:
The Forklift Driver is responsible for safely operating forklifts while supporting the hands-on operation of a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position assists with moving raw materials and finished products, supplying production lines, performing basic equipment monitoring, and maintaining production efficiency while following all safety and quality standards.
Job Duties:
Safely operate sit-down and/or stand-up forklifts to transport materials throughout the facility Load, unload, stack, and move raw materials and finished goods Supply production lines with materials as needed Perform pre-shift forklift inspections and report equipment issues Assist with the operation and monitoring of automated production equipment Perform basic troubleshooting and machine adjustments as needed Monitor equipment performance and complete preventative maintenance support Perform quality control inspections to ensure products meet specifications Enter downtime and scrap information into PICS Maintain proper housekeeping and follow all safety procedures Follow ISO standards and company policies Report food safety concerns immediately Attend required training sessions and weekly team meetings Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Previous forklift operating experience required Forklift certification preferred (or ability to become certified) Ability to safely move materials in a manufacturing environment Team-oriented with a positive attitude Self-motivated and flexible with job assignments Strong technical and interpersonal skills Associate's Degree in Plastics Technology, Electrical, Electronics, Electro-Mechanical Technology, or a related technical field preferred Relevant manufacturing or warehouse experience will be considered in place of education
Physical Requirements:
Stand and walk continuously throughout the shift Lift up to 40 lbs. regularly and up to 70 lbs. with assistance Bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb throughout the workday Frequently use hands for gripping, reaching, handling, pushing, pulling, and operating tools Climb ladders, stairs, platforms, and scaffolding as needed Work around machinery, conveyors, confined spaces, and heights up to 20 feet Safely operate forklifts throughout the shift while maintaining awareness of surrounding personnel and equipment
