Overview Join our dynamic warehouse team as a Forklift Operator Picker, where your skills will drive efficiency and accuracy in our fast-paced distribution center. In this vital role, you will operate various types of material handling equipment—including reach trucks, cherry pickers, and Hi-Lo forklifts—to pick, load, and unload goods with precision. Your expertise in warehouse management systems and inventory control will ensure seamless order fulfillment and optimal warehouse operations. Duties Operate forklift types such as reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks to pick orders accurately and efficiently. Load and unload shipments using heavy equipment while adhering to OSHA safety standards and warehouse safety protocols. Utilize barcode scanning technology for logistics to verify inventory and ensure accurate order picking. Maintain proper manual handling techniques during heavy lifting and materials handling to prevent injuries. Conduct routine equipment inspections and minor repairs on forklifts and other material handling equipment to ensure safe operation. Manage inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS), ensuring stock levels are accurate and well-organized. Support shipping & receiving processes by preparing orders for dispatch, verifying shipments against documentation, and maintaining detailed logs. Requirements Proven experience operating warehouse equipment including reach trucks, cherry pickers, Hi-Lo forklifts, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks. Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning for logistics, and inventory management practices. Familiarity with warehouse distribution processes such as order picking, load & unload procedures, shipping & receiving protocols. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following OSHA guidelines and safety standards in production environments. Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities during order picking and inventory checks. Prior experience in warehouse operations or warehouse supervision is highly desirable. Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain certification upon hire; knowledge of forklift safety protocols is essential.
