Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Forklift Operator/Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team here in Kennesaw. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in warehouse operations, materials handling, and equipment operation, with a focus on safety and efficiency. Duties Operate various types of material handling equipment including forklifts, to load, unload, and transport goods safely within the warehouse. Perform order picking using barcode scanning systems and ensure accurate selection of items for shipment or inventory replenishment. Assist in inventory management by conducting regular stock counts, updating warehouse management systems, and maintaining accurate records of materials handled. Load and unload shipments efficiently while adhering to safety standards in production and warehouse distribution protocols. Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic maintenance or coordinate repairs to ensure optimal operation of forklifts and other machinery. Follow OSHA safety standards and forklift safety protocols diligently to minimize accidents and promote a safe working environment. Support shipping & receiving activities by preparing goods for dispatch, verifying shipment accuracy, and ensuring proper documentation is completed. Requirements Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts within a fast-paced environment. Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning for logistics, and inventory control practices. Demonstrated ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while maintaining safety standards. Basic math skills for measuring, counting, and verifying quantities accurately. Familiarity with warehouse safety standards including OSHA regulations and forklift safety protocols is essential. Prior experience in shipping & receiving operations or warehouse supervision is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is required. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a physically demanding environment while maintaining attention to detail.
