This role involves operating specialized equipment to efficiently handle materials, manage inventory, and support warehouse distribution processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of warehouse operations, safety standards, and equipment maintenance, contributing to a safe and productive environment. Responsibilities Safely operate stand-up reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, and other material handling equipment in accordance with OSHA and company safety protocols. Load and unload shipments accurately using forklifts, pallet jacks, and lift trucks while adhering to heavy lifting guidelines. Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment utilizing barcode scanning technology and warehouse management systems. Manage inventory levels by conducting regular stock counts and updating records within warehouse management systems. Maintain a clean, organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency during materials handling activities. Perform routine inspections and basic repairs on equipment to ensure operational readiness. Assist with shipping & receiving processes, including documentation and proper storage of goods. Follow manual handling procedures for heavy or bulky items to prevent injuries. Support warehouse supervisors in daily operations and contribute to continuous process improvements. Qualifications Proven experience operating reach trucks, cherry pickers, forklift trucks, or similar heavy equipment within a warehouse environment. Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning for logistics, and inventory management practices. Familiarity with OSHA safety standards related to forklift operation and materials handling. Strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes including order picking, load & unload activities, and shipping & receiving. Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for inventory counts and measurements. Experience with equipment repair or maintenance is a plus but not mandatory. Excellent manual handling skills with an emphasis on safety standards in production environments. Valid certification for forklift operation (if applicable) or willingness to obtain certification upon hire. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
