Skilled Sitdown Forklift Operator/Order Selector Needed in Council Bluffs, IA!
Shift:
Mon-Fri 6:30am-4:00pm Pay $19/HR Summary We are seeking a diligent and experienced Sitdown Forklift Operator/Order Selector to join our dynamic warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a sitdown forklift to efficiently and safely select and transport orders within our distribution center. This role is crucial in ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment, which directly impacts customer satisfaction and overall operational efficiency. The Sitdown Forklift Operator/Order Selector must demonstrate excellent attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Candidates will be expected to adhere strictly to safety protocols, maintain equipment in good working condition, and follow all company policies and procedures. Responsibilities Operate sitdown forklift to pick and transport orders accurately and safely within the warehouse. Load and unload goods from pallets, racks, and delivery vehicles as needed. Verify order accuracy by checking product codes, quantities, and quality before shipment. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety and operational guidelines. Conduct routine inspections and perform minor maintenance on forklift equipment to ensure optimal functionality. Coordinate with warehouse team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and timely order processing. Report any safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or inventory discrepancies to management immediately. Valid forklift operator certification with experience operating sitdown forklifts. Minimum of 1 year experience in a warehouse or order selection environment. Strong understanding of safety regulations and warehouse best practices. Experience using RF scan guns or similar order selecting equipment. Ability to read and interpret order sheets, labels, and inventory records accurately. Physical ability to lift, carry, and move materials up to 50 pounds throughout a work shift. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accuracy under pressure. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
