The Dock Worker plays a crucial role in the transportation and warehousing industry by ensuring the efficient loading and unloading of goods from various types of vehicles. This position is essential for maintaining the flow of operations within the warehouse, directly impacting the company's ability to meet customer demands. Dock Workers are responsible for handling a variety of cargo, which requires attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols. High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 75 lbs) and perform physical tasks. Basic understanding of warehouse operations and safety protocols.Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in a dock worker or warehouse role. Certification in operating forklifts or other material handling equipment. Familiarity with inventory management systems.Responsibilities:
Load and unload cargo from trucks, containers, and other vehicles using forklifts and hand tools. Inspect and verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and quality. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to coordinate loading schedules and resolve any issues. Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while performing tasks.Skills:
