Not Available Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator III - Lead to set up and operate press brake equipment for precision metal fabrication while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and productivity. This is an advanced, lead-level position requiring strong technical expertise in press brake setup, tooling, programming, troubleshooting, and blueprint interpretation. The successful candidate will also train and mentor other operators, support production and maintenance activities, and help resolve complex manufacturing issues. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate press brake equipment according to blueprints, work instructions, and production requirements. Perform accurate measurements and quality inspections using calipers, squares, and other measuring instruments. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, safety procedures, and work instructions. Determine appropriate bend sequences and tooling requirements. Create, modify, and optimize machine programs. Calibrate press brake equipment and maintain tooling libraries. Determine appropriate V-die openings based on material thickness. Apply shims, including .010 and .020, when required. Set up tooling for hemming, offsets, and other specialized bending applications. Troubleshoot and resolve complex production, equipment, and quality issues. Identify defective materials or questionable conditions and escalate as appropriate. Coordinate maintenance requirements and support preventive maintenance activities. Train and mentor new and existing employees on equipment operation, safety, quality, and productivity standards. Support production scheduling and communicate production requirements or issues to leadership. Participate in safety initiatives, team meetings, and continuous improvement activities. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Meet or exceed established quality, productivity, efficiency, and attendance standards. Provide support in other manufacturing areas as needed. Required Qualifications 4+ years of relevant Press Brake setup and operation experience. High School Diploma or equivalent. Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation. Demonstrated experience programming and operating press brake machinery. Knowledge of press brake tooling, V-die openings, material thickness, hemming, offsets, and shimming. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations accurately. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Experience training, coaching, or mentoring other manufacturing employees. Ability to work independently while providing leadership and technical support to the team. Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards. Physical & Work Environment This position is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving mechanical equipment, vibration, and moderate to occasionally loud noise. The employee must be able to: Stand and work for extended periods. Use hands and fingers to operate machinery and handle materials. Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Occasionally lift or move materials weighing up to 25 pounds. Perform tasks requiring close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception. Communicate effectively with team members and leadership.

Pay:
$61,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
