Overview Join our dynamic team as a Forklift Operator and Material Handler, where your energy and precision will drive our warehouse operations forward! In this vital role, you will operate various types of heavy equipment, including reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, and forklifts, to efficiently load, unload, and organize materials. Your expertise in warehouse management systems and safety protocols will ensure smooth distribution processes and uphold our commitment to a safe working environment. Duties Safely operate forklift trucks such as lift trucks, reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, and Hi-Lo equipment to load and unload shipments. Manage inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning for logistics, and manual counts to maintain accurate stock levels. Pick, pack, and prepare orders with precision using order picker equipment and pallet jacks to meet shipping deadlines. Conduct routine inspections and basic repairs on equipment to ensure optimal functioning while adhering to OSHA safety standards. Assist with shipping & receiving activities by verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders and preparing outgoing deliveries. Follow warehouse safety protocols including proper manual handling techniques, heavy lifting procedures, and equipment operation guidelines. Support warehouse distribution efforts by organizing storage areas, managing inventory locations, and ensuring efficient space utilization. Experience Proven experience operating warehouse material handling equipment such as forklifts (including reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks) and pallet jacks. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning technology, and inventory control processes. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and warehouse safety protocols. Prior experience in shipping & receiving, order picking, or general warehouse operations is highly desirable. Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and order processing accurately. Strong manual handling skills with an emphasis on heavy lifting and safe materials handling practices. Warehouse supervisor experience or familiarity with warehouse distribution workflows is a plus but not required.
