Job Description
Must have a CDL A with at least 2 years of experience. $30 an hour without Hazmat. $31 with Hazmat. Pronto Freight Ways. A Detroit based Freight Company is looking for one Class A CDL Drivers with Forklift experience to operate with zero in person supervision in our new Delphi Location that currently has one other driver. This is an independent roll and requires a self motivated and reliable personnel that can operate without physical supervision. You will be responsible for loading and unloading your own truck, and making deliveries. This requires someone who is reliable and responsible. You will have all the support you need but you will be a one man show in Delphi. We will get you started there, do not worry. It is all straight Pay. OT Exempt 40-50 hours per week. Driver must be able to pass a TSA background check and be willing to get their HAZMAT within the first 90 days (with assistance from the company) Dependability cannot be understated, as this is a new location we need people that will actually show up. You must have forklift experience as we do not have the time or capacity to train anyone. You will be driving both a tractor trailer and possibly a box truck, depending on the demands of the day. Duties Safely transport goods to designated locations in a timely manner. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and clamp trucks as needed for loading and unloading cargo. Perform order picking and ensure accurate delivery of products. Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and safety standards during all operations. Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure proper functioning. Handle heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring the safe movement of materials. Build and maintain positive relationships with clients through reliable service. Experience 2 years of CDL A experience Familiarity with warehouse operations, including distribution center practices, is highly desirable. Proficiency in operating forklifts, order pickers, and other warehouse equipment is essential. Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety protocols related to transportation and warehousing is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical demands associated with the role.
