2nd shift, 3:30 p.m.-2:00 a.m. Westaff is hiring a Forklift Operator for a manufacturing client in Southwest Indianapolis. You'll move materials throughout the facility, keep production lines supplied, and support shipping and receiving. This role requires careful equipment operation, accurate material handling, and a strong focus on safety. Job Responsibilities Safely operate forklifts and material-handling equipment to move raw materials, work-in-process, and finished products. Load and unload trucks, trailers, and storage racks. Deliver materials to production lines and remove completed products. Verify materials against work orders, shipping documents, and labels. Perform routine forklift inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns. Accurately record inventory movements and complete required paperwork. Follow safety procedures, OSHA guidelines, and company policies. Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards. Assist with general warehouse duties and other related tasks as assigned. Qualifications Ability to operate sit-down, stand-up, or reach forklifts, as applicable to the assignment. Forklift certification or the ability to become certified. Previous forklift or warehouse experience preferred. Basic math and reading skills. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Strong attention to detail and safety awareness. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and pass required safety training. Physical Requirements and Work Environment Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout an 8-12-hour shift. Work in a manufacturing and warehouse setting with exposure to moving machinery, noise, and temperature changes.
