HireQuest Direct Job Overview HireQuest Direct is hiring for a plastic bag manufacturing facility in Indianapolis. Employees will support machine operators, assist with production, monitor product quality, and move materials safely. Candidates must be able to operate a forklift. Responsibilities Support machine operators as a production helper and learn equipment operation. Load materials and assist with production setup and changeovers as trained. Inspect products for defects and pay close attention to quality. Monitor equipment and report jams, malfunctions, or safety concerns. Operate a forklift after completing required training and authorization. Safely use cutting tools and follow plant safety procedures. Use the plant manufacturing system to enter and review production information. Move between different work areas inside the plant as needed. Keep the work area clean, organized, and help improve it. Requirements Able to lift up to 50 pounds. Able to speak, read, and write English to follow instructions and communicate at work. Basic computer skills. Willing to learn, participate in all required training, and support the production team. Able to work 12-hour shifts initially and transition to 8-hour shifts. Reliable attendance and punctuality are required. Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks. Able to work safely and follow instructions. Must wear appropriate work clothing and steel-toed shoes . Previous manufacturing, production, or machine operation experience preferred.
