Job Description:
Job Description Hendrickson is the leading global manufacturer and supplier of heavy-duty mechanical, elastomeric and air suspensions; integrated and non-integrated axle systems; parabolic and multi-leaf springs; bumper and trim components to the global commercial transportation system.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepares and loads product as part of pre-shipping and shipping processes Receives incoming materials, performs verification and receiving processes Moves and stores materials/product using warehouse locating systems Moves materials/product/dunnage in support of production operations Packages product for shipment Operates material handling equipment to include sitdown and standup forktrucks/forklifts Performs material handling duties of all types Performs cycle counts and other audits as required Disposes of scrap packaging utilizing equipment such as a compactor Exercises safe work habits Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS / KEY SKILLS AND ABILITIES SOUGHT
Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and warehousing operations, experience desired Ability to operate material handling equipment in a safe and courteous manner, as well as, successfully complete a driving assessment and pass an OSHA approved certification program Experience and proficiency in operating sitdown and stand-up forklifts preferred Knowledge of inventory and warehousing concepts that promote effectiveness Able to lift waist high up to 70lbs. and to handle various materials/product Ability and willingness to work outdoors year 'round Ability to perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment Ability to meet performance standards by adhering to established work procedures Ability to identify and report problems/concerns while recommending solutions Ability to function as an effective team member Ability to attend work on a regular basis High school diploma or GED from an accredited program We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
