Location:
Mount Vernon, IN Duties Operate powered material-handling equipment, including forklifts, clamp trucks, and other power equipment, for approximately 80% of the shift. Load, unload, move, stock, stage, and relocate products and materials safely and efficiently. Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring the correct quantities and product types are loaded. Inspect inbound and outbound products for damage, infestation, proper product codes, and compliance with customer requirements. Verify load accuracy, including count, stability, and product condition, and report any variances. Maintain accurate inventory records, reports, and documentation. Change equipment batteries or LP tanks and monitor equipment power sources as needed. Conduct daily inspections of material-handling equipment. Maintain equipment, work areas, and materials in a clean, neat, and orderly condition. Assist with physical inventory activities. Follow all OSHA, MSDS/SDS, company, and customer safety requirements. Work effectively with coworkers and warehouse leadership to complete warehouse operations accurately and efficiently. Perform additional duties as assigned by management or the customer. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Forklift operator certification is essential, or successful completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment. Warehouse experience Forklift operation experience Ability to operate powered material-handling equipment for approximately 80% of the work shift. Knowledge of warehouse operations and procedures. Ability to follow work procedures, safety rules, and written and verbal instructions. Ability to read, understand, and follow directions accurately. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work safely and efficiently in a warehouse environment.
