We are seeking a dependable and safety-minded Forklift Operator / Receiver to support our receiving and production operations. This is an important material-handling position responsible for safely operating forklifts, unloading incoming trucks, organizing materials, maintaining material flow, and supplying production lines with the materials needed to keep operations running efficiently. Because forklift operators work around employees, equipment, inventory, and company property, we are looking for someone who demonstrates good judgment, awareness of their surroundings, and a strong commitment to safety. General Responsibilities Safely operate various types of forklifts to move materials throughout the facility. Deliver materials to production lines accurately and in a timely manner to support continuous production. Unload incoming trucks and place materials in designated receiving or storage areas. Empty hoppers as needed and ensure materials are handled and disposed of or relocated according to established procedures. Organize, stage, and maintain materials so they are easily identified and accessible for production. Locate and move inventory, pallets, and materials to designated storage or production locations. Verify incoming shipments against receiving documentation and confirm quantities. Identify damaged materials, shortages, or discrepancies and promptly report concerns. Assist with maintaining accurate inventory records and material-movement documentation. Perform required daily forklift inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns. Maintain clean, organized, and safe receiving, storage, and material-handling areas. Follow established traffic patterns, forklift procedures, company policies, and applicable safety requirements. Remain alert to pedestrians, coworkers, equipment, and changing conditions while operating powered industrial equipment. Qualifications & Experience Minimum of 3 years of forklift operating experience preferred. Material handling, receiving, warehouse, or manufacturing experience is preferred. Ability to safely load, unload, stage, organize, and transport materials. Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and established procedures. Dependable, responsible, and able to work independently while supporting a production team. Good communication skills and willingness to coordinate with receiving, production, and other departments. Must demonstrate safe and responsible equipment operation. Successful candidates must meet applicable company requirements for operating company equipment/vehicles, which may include an acceptable driving record. Employment is subject to applicable pre-employment screening requirements, including a background check and 5-panel drug screen . Gulf Stream Coach will provide company-specific forklift certification upon successful completion of required training and testing. Safety Is a Priority This is a safety-sensitive position .
