Responsibilities Safely operate various types of forklifts including reach trucks, Hi-Lo lifts, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse. Manage inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS) to track stock levels, locations, and order picking activities. Perform order picking with equipment such as pickers to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently. Assist with shipping and receiving duties by verifying incoming shipments and preparing outgoing loads for delivery. Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Support warehouse distribution operations by organizing storage areas, stacking pallets, and maintaining a clean work environment. Follow OSHA safety guidelines diligently during all tasks to promote a safe workplace for yourself and colleagues. Qualifications Proven experience operating forklifts such as reach trucks, Hi-Lo lifts, clamp trucks, or similar heavy equipment in a warehouse setting. Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and order picking procedures. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs and troubleshooting. Familiarity with warehouse safety standards including OSHA regulations. Ability to lift heavy loads repeatedly and perform physically demanding tasks involving heavy lifting. Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and documentation accuracy. Previous experience in shipping & receiving, materials handling, or warehouse distribution is highly desirable. Valid forklift certification preferred; ongoing training opportunities available for skill enhancement.
