Job Description
Responsibilities:
Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using various types of forklifts or other power equipment 80% of specified shift. Pull and prepare product for shipment ensuring the exact number and types of product is loaded. Keep appropriate records and reports for inventory accuracy. (Relabels pallets as needed.) Repairs broken pallets, as necessary. Comply with all OSHA and MSDS standards. Verify load accuracy; check the load count, stability, and product damage, report variances, as necessary. Change LP tank and monitor power source, as necessary. Maintain the facility s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion. Reports issues for repair prior to utilization of equipment. Assist with physical inventories. Complete daily inspection of equipment. Demonstrates appropriate, respectful attitude in all dealings with coworkers, customers, and suppliers. Perform assigned GMP activities in the individual s work area as defined. Clean up messes or other housekeeping issues as soon as reasonable; this will include an overall clean as you go mentality. Report any known or discovered contamination or other food safety risk to product to their direct supervisor immediately. Performs other related duties as required and assigned.Requirements:
High school diploma, or equivalent. Six Months of warehouse and forklift operation experience. Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment. Basic computer skills/knowledge is preferred. Ability to lift 50 lbs. without assistance. Ability to climb in and out of forklift continuously for 10-12 hours. Ability to walk significant distance for 10-12 hours. Must have the ability to work in a high paced and multi-task environment. Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
