Full Job Description Summary:
We are currently looking for day shift and night shift forklift operators. This position will be responsible for accurately loading and unloading pallets on trailers in accordance with customer requirements and daily production goals. This individual will be responsible for operating a forklift to transport, stack, and organize pallets within our warehouse or production facility. The forklift operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle. This role requires the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Monday
  • Friday & Saturdays frequently 1st shift
  • 6:30 to 3:00 pm 2nd shift
  • 4:00 to 12:30 am.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Safely operate a forklift to move pallets of various sizes and weights within the warehouse or production area. Adhere to all safety guidelines and operating procedures to prevent accidents and injuries Load and unload pallets from trucks, trailers, or warehouse using the forklift. Ensure proper placement and securement of pallets to prevent damage during transportation Stack, arrange, and organize pallets efficiently to maximize storage space and facilitate inventory management Must be able to handle the needs of one area or department.
For example:
Keep all repair tables, dismantling stations, saw operators supplied with appropriate materials, remove finished product and place in designated areas in the yard or building, assist in "change-overs", move all pallets from outside sorting yard to designated areas, and load/unload trailers; keep pallet counts. Follow safety protocols and regulations at all times while operating the forklift and working in the warehouse environment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required Perform routine maintenance checks on the forklift to ensure proper functioning and safety. Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs to maintenance staff or supervisors Collaborate with warehouse team members, supervisors, and other departments to achieve production goals, meet customer demands, and maintain a clean and organized work environment This list of duties is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities that senior management may deem necessary.
Qualifications/Skills:
Valid forklift operator certification or license Minimum of 2 years of experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or industrial setting, preferably in the pallet industry Effective verbal communication skills to communicate with team members and supervisors Strong commitment to safety practices and procedures. Knowledge of OSHA regulations and forklift safety standards Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) and work in a physically demanding environment that may involve bending, stooping, and repetitive tasks Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) a plus
