Forklift Operator - 1st Shift - Salina, KS Great Plains Mfg has an opening for a 1st Shift Forklift Operator in the Material Handling Department at the Salina Facility . This position works Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., plus occasional overtime, as required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide safe movement of parts to required staging areas or locations Ensure correct part identification and delivery to correct location is a must to maintain inventory accuracy Conduct preventative maintenance on all equipment used Ensure paperwork from vendors is accurate Load and unload trucks Other duties as assigned such as driving a truck and working with other departments

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

Must have forklift license or ability to obtain one Excellent written and verbal communication skills Understand team concepts and be a strong team player Excel in fast paced, high-pressure situations Ability to use and understand AS400 Ability to read prints and be able to use tape measure, calipers, etc. as required At Great Plains Manufacturing, our people make the difference, making our company a great place to work and grow.
