Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Sit Down Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this vital role, you will operate sit-down forklifts and other material handling equipment to efficiently load, unload, and transport goods within our distribution center. Your expertise in warehouse management, inventory control, and equipment operation will ensure smooth and safe warehouse operations. 30 Duties Safely operate sit-down forklifts to load and unload shipments Manage inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning for logistics, and manual counts to ensure accuracy Pick, pack, and prepare orders with precision, utilizing order picker skills and warehouse distribution knowledge Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying shipments against documentation and inspecting for damages Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic repairs or notify maintenance for repairs to ensure forklift safety protocols are followed Maintain a clean and organized work environment by properly storing materials and materials handling equipment Follow OSHA standards, ISO standards, safety procedures, and warehouse safety standards in all operations to prevent accidents or injuries Requirements Proven experience operating various types of forklifts including sit-down propane forklifts such as Hi-Lo or Reach trucks Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management, and order picking processes Knowledge of warehouse safety standards including OSHA regulations and forklift safety protocols Ability to perform heavy lifting, manual handling, and basic math calculations accurately Experience with shipping & receiving procedures, barcode scanning for logistics, and materials handling equipment operation Prior warehouse experience with a focus on warehouse operations or distribution is preferred Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment Join us as a Sit Down Forklift Operator if you're ready to bring energy to your workday while ensuring safety and efficiency in our bustling warehouse! $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
