Position Summary:
Operate a forklift safely and efficiently to transport, store, retrieve, and rotate palletized products throughout the warehouse. Responsible for supporting inventory accuracy, product flow, and warehouse operations while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate a forklift safely and efficiently to move pallets and materials throughout the warehouse. Transport pallets from receiving docks or reserve storage locations to designated areas within the temperature-controlled warehouse. Put away, retrieve, rotate, and replenish inventory stored in warehouse reserve racks. Use handheld scanning devices and warehouse management systems to accurately track inventory movements and replenishment activities. Pull products from inventory and deliver them to production lines as needed. Move finished products from production areas to designated storage locations. Retrieve finished products from storage and load them onto outbound trailers. Unload inbound products and materials from trailers. Stack, organize, and rotate merchandise according to inventory management and food safety procedures. Utilize warehouse technology and scanning equipment to accurately select, verify, and track products. Inspect equipment before operation and report any maintenance or safety concerns. Follow all company safety policies, operational procedures, and OSHA regulations. Maintain a clean and organized work area by sweeping floors, cleaning spills, disposing of damaged products, and completing rework activities as required. Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain certification upon hire. Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and follow safety procedures. Basic computer and handheld scanner skills. Ability to work in a temperature-controlled warehouse environment. Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds and perform physical warehouse duties. Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Work Environment Temperature-controlled warehouse setting. Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting. Regular operation of forklifts and material-handling equipment. Exposure to warehouse traffic, moving machinery, and varying temperatures.
