Full Job Description Job Summary:
Noor Staffing is seeking a reliable and skilled Stand-Up Forklift Operator to join our team in Boston. As a Stand-Up Forklift Operator, you will play a vital role in our daily operations by safely and efficiently moving and organizing seafood products within our temperature-controlled warehouse. Your precision, adherence to safety guidelines, and ability to work effectively will ensure the timely and accurate handling of our valuable inventory.
Responsibilities:
Operate stand-up forklifts (including reach trucks) safely and efficiently to move, stack, load, and unload pallets of seafood products. Transport goods between receiving areas, freezers, coolers, processing areas, and loading docks. Load and unload delivery trucks, ensuring proper handling of temperature-sensitive goods and securement of loads. Stack and arrange seafood products in designated storage locations, optimizing space and maintaining product integrity. Inspect forklifts daily for any mechanical issues or safety hazards, reporting them promptly to the supervisor. Strictly adhere to all safety regulations and company procedures, especially those related to operating in a refrigerated environment. Maintain accurate records of materials moved and stored, including lot numbers and quantities. Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, such as wrapping pallets, organizing storage areas, and general housekeeping. Communicate effectively with supervisors, receiving personnel, and other team members regarding material flow and any discrepancies. Participate in regular safety meetings and training sessions, including those specific to handling seafood.
Qualifications:
Proven experience operating a stand-up forklift, specifically reach trucks. Valid forklift operator certification or license. Ability to read and understand work orders, temperature guidelines, and safety regulations. Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures, particularly in a refrigerated environment. #CHE123
