POWER EQUIPMENT OPERATOR / STAND-UP FORKLIFT / CHERRY PICKER
Savvy Staffing is seeking an experienced Power Equipment Operator to safely operate stand-up forklifts, cherry pickers, reach trucks, stock pickers, and other warehouse equipment.

PM Pay:
$21.00 per hour

JOB DUTIES
Operate stand-up forklifts, cherry pickers, reach trucks, stock pickers, and other powered warehouse equipment . Safely move books and other products to and from warehouse storage locations. Put products away in racks and designated staging areas. Use a handheld scanner for replenishment, inventory put-away, item inquiries, and cycle counts. Maintain accurate inventory movements and records. Stack products safely and neatly. Follow all OSHA and company safety regulations . Wear all required PPE, including a harness/lanyard when operating order pickers or stock pickers . Inspect equipment before use and report unsafe conditions or maintenance concerns. Handle merchandise carefully to prevent damage. Assist with loading/unloading and processing returned book fairs as needed. Meet required productivity, accuracy, and quality standards.
REQUIREMENTS
Must be at least 18 years old . High school diploma/GED preferred. Must have prior experience operating powered warehouse equipment. Outside candidates generally need at least 1 year of power equipment operating experience . Must be willing and able to successfully complete required forklift/power equipment training and certification. Basic handheld scanner and computer skills. Basic math skills. Ability to read and understand safety rules and operating instructions in English. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Must be comfortable working at heights.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift boxes weighing up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to bend, squat, kneel, reach, climb, and maintain balance as required. Ability to work safely at elevated heights while using appropriate safety equipment. Ability to work in a non-air-conditioned warehouse environment . Must successfully complete all required equipment certification and maintain certification throughout employment.
Pay:
From $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
