In this vital role, you will operate various types of material handling equipment—including reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and clamp trucks—to efficiently load, unload, and organize inventory. Your expertise will ensure safe, accurate, and timely movement of goods within our warehouse distribution center. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment while honing your skills in warehouse management and materials handling. Duties Safely operate forklift trucks, reach trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, clamp trucks, and other material handling equipment in accordance with OSHA safety standards. Load and unload shipments using equipment such as pallet jacks, lift trucks, and order pickers while adhering to safety protocols. Perform inventory management tasks including barcode scanning for logistics accuracy and updating warehouse management systems (WMS). Assist with order picking and order fulfillment processes to ensure correct items are selected for shipment or storage. Conduct routine equipment repairs or report maintenance needs promptly to minimize downtime. Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment by properly stacking pallets and materials for optimal storage efficiency. Support shipping & receiving operations by verifying inbound and outbound shipments against documentation and ensuring proper labeling. Requirements Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts (including lift truck licenses), pallet jacks, clamp trucks, and manual handling tools. Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and barcode scanning technology used in logistics. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle materials manually when necessary. Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and documentation accuracy. Familiarity with warehouse safety standards including OSHA regulations and forklift safety protocols. Prior experience in warehouse distribution or warehouse operations is highly preferred. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to manage inventory effectively.
