Overview Join our dynamic logistics team as a Forklift Operator and Material Handler, where your expertise will drive efficiency and safety in our warehouse operations. In this vital role, you will operate various types of material handling equipment, including reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, and lift trucks, to load, unload, and organize inventory. Your proactive approach will ensure smooth warehouse distribution processes while adhering to strict safety standards. Duties Safely operate forklift equipment such as reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and pallet jacks to load and unload goods efficiently. Manage inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS) and barcode scanning technology to track materials accurately. Pick and prepare orders with precision using order picker equipment, ensuring timely shipment readiness. Conduct routine inspections and minor repairs on equipment to maintain optimal operation and safety compliance. Assist with shipping and receiving activities by verifying shipments against documentation and ensuring proper storage. Perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and materials movement in accordance with OSHA safety standards. Maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment by following safety protocols in all warehouse operations. Requirements Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, or Hi-Lo forklifts. Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control, and barcode scanning for logistics. Knowledge of safety standards in production environments including OSHA regulations related to forklift operation and materials handling. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely and efficiently. Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and documentation accuracy. Prior experience in shipping & receiving or warehouse distribution is preferred.
