Immediate opening! Hiring day shift forklift operator for Big Rapids Products. This is a hire in opportunity based on attendance and performance. Must have prior experience and valid driver's license. Hours are Monday-Thursday, 5am-3:30pm with possible overtime. Starting pay $16/hr. Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and energetic Forklift Operator to join our team on the day shift. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently operating various types of heavy equipment, including reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and pallet jacks, to safely load, unload, and move materials within our warehouse. Your expertise in warehouse management systems and materials handling will ensure smooth operations in a fast-paced distribution environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience and mechanical knowledge to contribute to our logistics success while working in a dynamic team setting. Duties Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and other heavy equipment to load and unload shipments Pick orders accurately using order picker equipment and warehouse management systems Assist with inventory management by organizing materials and ensuring proper storage practices Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic repairs or notify maintenance for mechanical issues Support shipping and receiving processes by verifying shipment contents and preparing items for dispatch Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency Follow OSHA safety standards and company policies during all warehouse activities Requirements Proven experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment in a warehouse setting Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and order picking procedures Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs or troubleshooting Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and materials handling Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting, load & unload tasks, and long periods of standing or walking Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and documentation accuracy Excellent attention to detail to ensure safe operation and accurate order fulfillment Warehouse experience including shipping & receiving, distribution processes, and materials handling techniques Join our team as a Forklift Operator-hiring day shift to be part of a vibrant logistics operation where your skills make a real difference!
