Job Description

Job Overview Our client is seeking a motivated and energetic STANDUP Forklift Driver to join their dynamic warehouse team during the second shift. In this vital role, you will operate various types of heavy equipment, including forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks, to efficiently load, unload, and move materials throughout our facility. Your expertise in warehouse distribution and materials handling will ensure smooth shipping and receiving operations while maintaining safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment where your mechanical knowledge and warehouse experience make a real impact. Shift 6AM - 5PM M-F Occasional Weekends Duties Safely operate forklifts, clamp trucks, cranes, and other heavy equipment to load and unload shipments with precision. Use RF scanners and warehouse management systems to accurately pick, pack, and process orders. Assist with order picking tasks, including picker operations, to fulfill customer orders efficiently. Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and containers while adhering to OSHA safety regulations. Conduct routine inspections of equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks; perform minor mechanical troubleshooting when necessary. Support shipping & receiving activities by verifying inbound and outbound shipments for accuracy. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize space utilization and improve workflow processes. Qualifications Proven warehouse distribution experience with a strong understanding of order picking, shipping & receiving procedures. Valid forklift certification; experience operating heavy equipment like cranes and clamp trucks is highly desirable. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for inventory control. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and materials handling. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic maintenance checks on equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. Prior experience in construction or similar industries involving heavy lifting and materials handling is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely for extended periods; physical stamina is essential.
