Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Crown Reach Truck operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently operating the Crown Reach Truck—a specialized piece of heavy equipment designed for high-reach pallet handling—to facilitate the movement, loading, and unloading of goods within our distribution center. Your expertise in warehouse distribution, materials handling, and heavy equipment operation will be essential to maintaining smooth inventory flow and supporting our shipping and receiving operations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive warehouse experience, mechanical knowledge, and a commitment to safety standards to ensure optimal performance and workplace safety. Duties Safely operate the Crown Reach Truck to load, unload, and transport pallets and materials throughout the warehouse Perform order picking using RF scanners and other warehouse management systems to ensure accurate inventory fulfillment Load and unload shipments efficiently while adhering to OSHA safety regulations Utilize additional heavy equipment such as clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and forklift trucks as needed for various materials handling tasks Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying incoming and outgoing goods against documentation Conduct routine inspections of heavy equipment to identify maintenance needs or safety issues Support warehouse management in organizing stock locations and optimizing storage space Participate in inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock replenishment activities Follow all safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation, including mechanical knowledge of machinery components Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to improve operational workflows and ensure compliance with safety standards Qualifications Proven experience operating Crown Reach Trucks in a warehouse or distribution environment Strong background in warehouse distribution, order picking, shipping & receiving, and heavy equipment operation Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and inventory control procedures Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of OSHA safety standards for heavy machinery operation Experience with construction-related equipment such as clamp trucks or load & unload machinery is a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently using pallet jacks or other manual handling tools Prior experience in warehouse supervision or leadership roles is advantageous Excellent attention to detail for accurate order picking and inventory management Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors effectively This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your skills in heavy equipment operation and materials handling will directly contribute to operational success.
