If you have experience operating a forklift safely, and enjoy working independently, please consider applying. This is a full time, year-round position.
The Receiving Specialist:
Must be able to work 3pm - 1:30am (typically Monday-Thursday, but work may be necessary on Friday/Saturday/Sunday) Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment drug/alcohol screening Must be able to read, write and speak English Must have excellent attendance
RATE OF PAY
$23.00 - $25.00/hr.
Summary of responsibilities:
Ensure all trucks are safely unloaded, tagged, and product entered in the computer systems Keep machines loaded in a timely manner to prevent production shutdowns Move finished product to holding areas; ensuring it's properly wrapped and labeled (following the Company Stacking and Packaging policy) Monitor the workplace for safety violations and potential hazards Send/receive items through FED EX, UPS, etc. Keep receiving area well organized and clean, including outdoor docks, dunnage, and propane storage Assist the Mill and Shipping departments as needed Actively participate in quarterly inventory Qualified applicants should be able to: work independently while managing multiple projects simultaneously work in all weather conditions; indoors and outdoors demonstrate excellent eye/hand coordination operate a forklift with foot and hand controls successfully use computer programs/software adjust work priorities throughout the work shift follow both written and verbal instructions stand/walk/bend/twist/sit continuously during the work shift (3pm - 1:30am) lift/carry 50 pounds, regularly read a tape measure climb ladders/stairs effectively communicate with a variety of people work mandatory overtime (can include Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday) work in an environment with moderate levels of wood dust
Job Hazard Analysis:
May be exposed to noise levels greater than or equal to 85 decibels up to 10 hours each work shift Must wear hearing protection at all times in production areas Must wear safety glasses at all times in production areas Must be able to work in moderate levels of wood dust May be exposed to moderate levels of carbon monoxide
