Job Title:

Shipping and Receiving Forklift Operator Job Description This role focuses on operating forklifts to support shipping and receiving activities, ensuring materials and products move safely and efficiently throughout a large industrial facility. You will handle loading and unloading, inventory movement, and basic equipment checks to keep operations running smoothly and accurately. Responsibilities Operate sit-down forklifts safely and efficiently to move large industrial materials, equipment, and products within the facility. Load and unload trucks, trailers, and storage racks while following safety procedures and weight limits. Transport raw materials, finished goods, and work-in-process inventory to designated areas throughout the facility. Essential Skills Proven ability to operate sit-down forklifts safely in an industrial or warehouse environment. Hands-on experience in shipping and receiving operations, including loading and unloading trucks and trailers. Ability to work extended hours, including a 6-day workweek and 10-hour shifts. Willingness and ability to work either day shift (approximately 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) or night shift (approximately 4:30 p.m. to 3:00 a.m.), as assigned. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience operating forklifts in a clean, modern industrial or warehouse facility. Past experience with shipping, receiving, or inventory processes within a manufacturing or distribution environment. Work Environment The role is based in a new, clean, and well-maintained industrial facility that supports shipping, receiving, and inventory operations. You will operate sit-down forklifts and handle large industrial materials, equipment, and products throughout warehouse and production areas. The schedule typically follows a Monday through Saturday workweek with 10-hour shifts (approximately 60 hours per week), with one day shift around 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and one night shift around 4:30 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Weldon Spring, MO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
