Position Summary Premium Waters is seeking a safe, dependable, and motivated Yard Dog Driver (Yard Jockey) to support warehouse and shipping operations. The Yard Dog Driver is responsible for moving trailers throughout the facility yard, positioning trailers at loading docks, maintaining trailer flow, and ensuring safe and efficient movement of equipment to support production and distribution operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Move trailers between parking areas, loading docks, and designated yard locations. Spot trailers at dock doors for loading and unloading activities. Verify trailer numbers, seal numbers, and locations before movement. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of yard tractors and trailers. Report equipment damage, mechanical issues, and safety concerns immediately. Maintain accurate trailer inventory and location records. Inspect trailers for cleanliness, damage, and loading readiness. Communicate with warehouse, production, transportation, and shipping personnel regarding trailer needs. Ensure trailers are properly secured using wheel chocks, dock locks, and other safety devices. Assist with shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard environment. Follow all food safety, quality, GMP, SQF, and company policies Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Class A drivers license with an acceptable drivers license Minimum one (1) year of experience operating yard trucks, semi-trucks, forklifts, or similar equipment. Ability to safely operate equipment in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Preferred Qualifications Previous Yard Dog/Yard Jockey experience. Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or warehouse operations. Forklift certification or ability to become certified. Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes. Physical Requirements Ability to climb in and out of equipment frequently throughout the shift. Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, and climb stairs. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed. Ability to perform duties safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Safety Responsibilities Conduct equipment inspections before each shift. Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Report accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions immediately.
