Overview We are seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and handling of materials within our distribution center. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of warehouse operations, safety standards, and equipment management, contributing to smooth logistics and inventory accuracy. Responsibilities Operate various types of forklifts including reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, and Hi-Lo forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials safely and efficiently. Perform manual handling tasks such as lifting heavy loads and pallet jack operations in accordance with safety protocols. Manage inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS) and barcode scanning tools to ensure accurate stock levels and order picking. Assist with shipping and receiving processes by preparing shipments, verifying orders, and maintaining proper documentation. Conduct routine equipment inspections and minor repairs to ensure forklifts and other material handling equipment are maintained in optimal condition. Follow OSHA guidelines and warehouse safety standards to minimize risks associated with heavy equipment operation. Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing materials for storage or dispatch, optimizing space utilization. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to coordinate daily operations, prioritize tasks, and improve overall workflow.

Qualifications:

Must be able to pass a lift equipment certification Knowledge of elevator and escalator systems or work in a manufacturing facility is a plus Working knowledge of computerized system or computer skills is required Knowledge in Warehouse Management System is a plus Software experience in Oracle is a plus Prior Warehousing experience using RF scanners is a plus Requires excellent dependability, the ability to multi-task and must work effectively without close supervision Demonstrated experience of working in a fast-paced and team-based environment Requires lifting parts weighting up to 50 pounds Self-motivation is a sought-after trait A proven record of consistent and fair enforcement of facility rules, policies, regulations Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions
