Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Forklift Operator and Material Handler, where you'll be at the forefront of efficient warehouse operations! In this vital role, you'll operate various types of heavy equipment—including forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, and clamp trucks—to safely load, unload, and move materials throughout the facility. Your expertise will ensure inventory accuracy, streamline shipping and receiving processes, and uphold the highest safety standards. Duties Safely operate forklift trucks, reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and Hi-Lo equipment to load and unload shipments efficiently Manage inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS) and barcode scanning tools to track materials accurately Pick and prepare orders with precision using order picker equipment while adhering to safety protocols Assist in shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation Conduct routine maintenance and mechanical inspections on equipment; perform basic repairs as needed to ensure optimal operation Handle materials manually when necessary, including heavy lifting and manual handling tasks following OSHA safety standards Maintain organized storage areas, perform inventory counts, and support warehouse distribution efforts to optimize space utilization Skills Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and Hi-Lo machinery Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning for logistics, and inventory management procedures Knowledge of shipping & receiving processes along with proper materials handling techniques Familiarity with safety standards in production environments including OSHA regulations and forklift safety protocols Mechanical aptitude for basic equipment repair and troubleshooting heavy equipment issues Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining manual handling best practices Basic math skills for inventory counting, order picking calculations, and measurement tasks Warehouse experience with distribution centers or similar environments is highly preferred Embark on a role that energizes your career by combining technical skill with physical activity! Pay:
$17.00 - $21.00 per hour People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply
