Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Double Reach Truck Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating double reach trucks and other material handling equipment to efficiently manage inventory, facilitate order picking, and support warehouse distribution activities. Your expertise will ensure the safe and accurate movement of goods within our facility, contributing to smooth warehouse operations and timely order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will possess strong warehouse management skills, familiarity with various types of forklifts and equipment, and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards. Duties Operate double reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, and other forklift equipment in accordance with OSHA safety protocols and company policies. Load and unload materials from trucks using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks, lift trucks, and Hi-Lo forklifts. Conduct routine inspections and minor repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Manage inventory through barcode scanning, warehouse management systems (WMS), and manual counts to maintain accurate stock levels. Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment while adhering to quality standards and safety procedures. Assist in shipping & receiving processes by verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders and updating inventory records. Support warehouse supervisor in implementing warehouse distribution strategies, optimizing space utilization, and improving workflow efficiency. Ensure proper manual handling of heavy materials and perform heavy lifting tasks safely. Maintain a clean, organized work environment by following materials handling best practices. Participate in regular safety training sessions to stay updated on warehouse safety standards in production environments. Experience Proven experience operating reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, or similar material handling equipment within a warehouse setting. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning technology for logistics, and shipping & receiving procedures. Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to forklift operation and materials handling safety standards. Prior experience in warehouse management or supervisory roles is advantageous. Strong understanding of inventory management principles, manual handling techniques, and heavy equipment operation. Basic math skills for measurements, counting, and data entry accuracy. Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety standards in production environments. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members across warehouse operations.
