Job Description

CMC is a manufacturing facility that provide up-jacketed central strength member (CSM) and filler rods to the Fiber Optic cable industry. CMC is expanding into the manufacturing space, migrating from a CSM (FRP) distributor solely, to offering our customers an Up-jacket and Filler rod manufacturing service. The role of Forklift Operator will report directly to the Shift Supervisor. This role will be responsible for moving, loading and unloading palletized material while operating a forklift. Daily activities will also include completing all required documentation under the leadership of the Shift Supervisor while following good manufacturing practices, following Company SOP's and maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe work environment. Additional duties shall be as customary for a Forklift Operator and any additional duties incident to the position as directed by management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Loading, unloading, shipping, and receiving warehouse goods Transporting materials to different locations within the warehouse facility Optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency Securing loads to the forklift before transportation Inspecting for damages to incoming materials Managing inventory by utilizing RF scanning equipment Repackaging damaged pallets prior to shipping Identifying workplace safety hazards. Adhering to safety management standards Adhering to shipping/receiving schedules

Additional Requirements:

Strong organizational skills along with great housekeeping Strong communication and interpersonal skills within a team environment Self-motivated and an efficient problem solver Must be able to speak English and communicate effectively Must be able to read, write and understand Packaging Lot#s Must be able to lift, bend, and squat as needed

Pay:

$17.50 - $18.50 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
