2nd (3 PM to 11 PM) Monday through Friday additional 5 % shift diffrential from day 1Job Summary:
This job requires driving the Switcher to move trailers in and out loading docks, and the shipping yard. Assist to unload trucks. Need to be familiar with computers as you are responsible for preparing shipping documents with accuracy. Able to drive a forklift, use hand trucks, etc. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Job Requirements (Qualification Factors:
Skills, Knowledge, Experience, Ability) 1. SKILL Education/Trade Knowledge -- Must have basic reading, writing and math skills.
- Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Must have ability to learn to use basic computer operations.
- Must have thorough knowledge of Company's products, materials and parts.
- Must have complete knowledge storage of materials.
- Must have thorough knowledge of Company's shipping procedures, loading of trucks.
- Must be certified in operation of forklift.
- Must be able to operate a switcher and move trailer truck around shaping yard. 2. EFFORT
- Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50 lbs. with constant walking, reaching, bending, pushing and stooping required.
- Good eye and foot coordination required while operating forklift.
- Frequent mental and visual attention required.
- Close attention to detail is required when checking receivables and preparing shipping documents and entering data into the computer.
- Reasonable care operating equipment will prevent damage.
- Accurate records must be maintained to prevent mislocation of parts and/or misidentification of material.
- Operation of forklift where improper action may cause serious injury to others. Caution must be used when stacking material in racks.
- Reasonable for own work but may coordinate work with others.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Normal factory environment with some exposure to noise, dust, fumes and heat.
