Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Server/Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the friendly face that welcomes guests, takes orders, and ensures a memorable dining experience. You will handle cash and card transactions efficiently while providing exceptional service that encourages repeat visits. Your enthusiasm for food, beverages, and guest relations will help create a lively and welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements, ensuring a smooth flow of service from arrival to departure Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring special requests are noted and fulfilled Process sales transactions swiftly and accurately, handling cash, credit cards, and digital payments with attention to detail Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and increase sales Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, including wine knowledge and cocktail recipes, to answer guest questions confidently Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are consistently followed during food handling, serving, and cleaning duties Assist with bussing tables, resetting stations, and supporting kitchen staff as needed to ensure efficient service flow Provide excellent guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and courteously to foster positive reviews and repeat business Qualifications Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is advantageous Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and enthusiastically Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing sales transactions efficiently Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tables or tasks simultaneously Excellent communication skills with a friendly attitude that promotes guest satisfaction Experience in beverage service including spirits, wine knowledge, cocktail preparation, and drink service is highly desirable Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed in a dynamic hospitality setting Join our team where your passion for hospitality meets endless opportunities for growth!
