Forklift Operator/Material Handler Yespac INC Branchburg, NJ Job Details Full-time $18 - $20 an hour 5 days ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Qualifications Spanish Teamwork English Forklift High school diploma or GED Manufacturing facility experience Materials handling Material handling equipment operation Full Job Description Position Summary The Production Forklift Operator & Material Handler is responsible for ensuring the continuous flow of raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished products throughout the production area. This position supports manufacturing operations by safely operating forklifts and material handling equipment, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring production lines remain supplied to meet production goals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment in the production area. Supply production lines with raw materials, packaging materials, and other necessary production components. Remove finished goods from production lines and transport them to designated warehouse locations. Load and unload materials from trailers, storage areas, and production staging locations. Verify material quantities and product identification before delivery to production lines. Perform inventory transactions and maintain accurate production material records. Conduct routine forklift inspections and complete pre-shift safety checklists. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety standards, and company safety procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Assist production personnel with material movement and line changeovers as needed. Report equipment malfunctions, inventory discrepancies, and safety concerns to supervision. Support production and warehouse operations as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous forklift and material handling experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification. Ability to read work orders, labels, and production documentation. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be Bilingual Spanish and English Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and reach throughout the workday. Ability to work in a production environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures. Ability to safely operate forklifts for extended periods. Skills and Competencies Forklift operation and safety. Material handling and inventory control. Production support and workflow management. Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 48.0 per week
